I was fortunate to be invited recently to watch a Japanese Calligrapher, Grand Master Akiko Crowther, create a large scale work. This moving performance was held at the Refinery Art Space here in Nelson, where Akiko and her husband Tim had a joint exhibition of their collaborative work. I got there early, before most of the guests arrived
and in time to catch the couple enjoying a quiet moment:
